Terms of Service

Legal Friend, Inc. ("we", "us", "Legal Friend") operates legalfriend.com and provides software that helps you create legal documents and connects you with independent licensed attorneys for document review.

Important: Legal Friend is not a law firm. It's a software company that works with attorneys. The attorney-client relationship, when one exists, is between you and your reviewing attorney — not Legal Friend.

To use Legal Friend, you must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the United States, and able to enter into a legally binding agreement under your state's laws. Some products (like a will) additionally require mental capacity at the time of signing — your reviewing attorney will verify this through your responses.

When you create an account you agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Maintain the security of your password.
• Not share your account credentials with anyone.
• Promptly tell us about unauthorized access.

You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you spot something fishy, email support@legalfriend.com and we'll lock the account while we investigate.

All prices are listed in US Dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax. By purchasing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the listed price plus tax.

Refund policy: You can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase for any reason — even "changed my mind." Email support@legalfriend.com and the money will be returned to your original payment method within 2-3 business days.

Chargebacks: If you dispute a charge with your bank, we may suspend your account while the dispute resolves. We'd rather you just email us first — we're easy.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including fraud or forgery.
• Submit information you know to be false.
• Impersonate someone else or create documents on their behalf without authorization.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy our code, content, or attorney network.
• Disrupt or abuse our infrastructure.
• Use the service to harass other users or our staff.

Violating these rules may result in account suspension and forfeiture of any refund. For severe violations (fraud, illegal use), we'll involve law enforcement.

The software creates documents based on the information you provide. It uses templates drafted by attorneys, but the software itself isn't "giving legal advice" — it's a guided form.

Attorney review happens when you choose to send your document to a licensed attorney through Legal Friend. That review establishes an attorney-client relationship between you and that attorney for the limited scope of reviewing your document.

The Legal Friend software, content, branding, and templates are owned by Legal Friend, Inc. and licensed to you for personal use. You may not reproduce them outside the documents you create for yourself.

The documents you create are yours. You own all rights in them, and you can use, modify, share, and store them however you like.

Legal Friend is provided "as is." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

We may revise these terms. For meaningful changes, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't like the new terms, you can close your account and request a prorated refund of any active subscription.

Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
